GULF SHORES, AL – The Gulf Shores Woman's Club raised more than $7,000 to benefit the Christian Service Center and the Sheriff's Boys Ranch at its recent October style show, “Tis The Season to be Spooky.”

The fashion show and silent auction featured a sophisticated Halloween theme with fashion commentator Marianne Hawkins, Rosemary Reichstetter and Joanna Simma dressed as fashionable witches. Gulf Shores Woman’s Club members modeled fashions from Chico’s, The Beach House Boutique, Jubilee Apparel and Gifts and Wildflowers.

Members and guests were served drinks by members of the Gulf Shores Fire Department acting as guest waiters during the social hour and silent auction. Tables at the Cotton Creek Club were decorated by unique Halloween centerpieces created by Gulf Shores Woman's Club members.

Announcing the results of the fashion show/silent auction fund raiser, GSWC President Sharon Moore said that the success of the day was made possible through the generosity of the many merchants and vendors who contributed to the silent auction, raffle and fashion show.
