DAPHNE – Qualifying teams moved on to the 2018 USSSA Softball World Series after surviving a four-state qualifier at Al Trione Park in Daphne over the weekend. Teams from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi competing in the 10-U and 12-U Divisions of the United States Specialty Sports Association Silver and Gold Leagues. Baldwin-County-based South Alabama Elite advanced in the 10-U Gold Division.
Gulf Shores will host the Division C (8-16) National Championships starting July 15 as well as other tournaments coming up.
