Daphne, Ala.– Bayside Academy senior Mac Douglas committed to play football at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in a signing ceremony March 20.
Douglas anchored the Admirals defense from his middle linebacker position, posting an impressive 14 combined tackles per game with one interception and two fumble recoveries. A special-teams standout, he was named a 2018 All State First Team punter with a 41.2 yard average He also blocked a field goal and two extra-point attempts.
Douglas contributed on offense as well, lining up at tight end and catching one pass for 42 yards and for a touchdown along with three carries for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Bayside Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in grades PK–12.
