City to host summer camps beginning in June

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The city of Robertsdale will once again be hosting its annual summer sports camps, put on by coaches from Robertsdale High School, beginning in June.

Camps include:

• A boys and girls basketball camp, 9 a.m. to noon June 4-6 in the gym at the old Robertsdale First Baptist Church on St. Paul Street.

• A boys’ baseball camp from 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 4-6 at the baseball complex at Garrett Park.

• Boys’ and girls’ soccer camps, June 18-20 for ages 5-9 and June 25-27 for ages 10 and up. Both camps will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. on the south side of the baseball complex at Garrett Park.

• A girls’ softball camp June 25-27 at the softball complex at Garrett Park.

• Football camps, June 4-7 for ages 4-7 and June 18-20 for ages 8 and up. Both camps will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the south side of the baseball complex at Garrett Park.

• A girls’ cheerleader camp June from 1 to 3 p.m. June 11-13 at the PZK Civic Center on Alabama 104.

Camps will also be held in the library at Robertsdale Elementary School. Each camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 6-9 and 1 to 4 p.m. for ages 10-12 and will include:

• June 3-7: Adventures with Books.

• June 10-14: Super Science.

• June 17-21: Amazing Crafts.

There will also be dance camps June 3-6 at DDC Studio in the Greer’s Shopping Center, 9 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 4-7 and noon to 2 p.m. for ages 8-11.

Registration forms must be turned in to city hall. All campers receive a T-shirt and pizza on the last day of the camp. There is no charge for the camps.
