Edmund Xavier Loughran, age 84, resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018.
Edmund was a retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general. He was an Air Force navigator and commercial pilot with over 30,000 aviation hours.
Edmund was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the VFW Gaston Lee post.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Loughran of Fairhope; daughter, Sara Lynn Loughran of Daphne; sons, Scott Loughran of Los Angeles, California, Edmund Loughran (Meaghan) of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Grace and Julia Loughran of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Maryanne Loughran and Lida Parker, both of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Christian Loughran of Tucson, Arizona, Mark Loughran of San Francisco, California; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass.
