Fairhope High School wins Heart of Dixie

Fairhope High School Band traveled to The Heart of Dixie Band Competition in Prattville last weekend and was awarded all Superior ratings. The band won every award in its class including: Best in Class Drum Majors, Best in Class Percussion, Best in Class Color Guard and Best in Class Band. The band also earned the highest overall composite score for the competition netting it the Grand Champion award. Here Drum Majors Lindsay Keating, Katelyn Finch, and Forrest Caudill celebrate the victory with an armful of trophies. The band is led by Anthony Fillingim, band director, Chad Faison, assistant band director, Phillip Davis, color guard instructor, DJ White, percussion instructor, Stevie Miller, color guard assistant, and percussion assistants Jordan Wood, Stephen Thompson, and Callie Thorne.
