LILLIAN, Alabama — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with identifying a suspect after the Family Dollar store in Lillian was robbed at gunpoint on Friday, July 13.

According to a release issued Wednesday, at approximately 2:07 p.m., a white male entered the store wearing a dark t-shirt, blue jean pants, white tennis shoes, and a red University of Alabama visor.

The suspect in this case took money from the counter and attempted to flee the store before an attendant tried to stop him. He then produced a silver handgun and pointed it at the attendant before leaving the scene. A witness believed the handgun was a revolver.

The suspect left the store and got into a white Chevrolet truck with a black tailgate. He drove eastbound on U.S. 98 toward Florida.

During this investigation it was determined that the suspect, and his vehicle, were also seen at the Family Dollar store on West Fairfield in Pensacola, Florida approximately 45 minutes prior to the robbery in the Lillian community.

It is believed the suspect may live in or frequent Escambia County, Florida.

Any information on this subject’s identity can be forwarded to Cpl. Andrew Ashton of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office at 251-972-8589, Option 2.
