Investigators seek suspects in Elsanor shooting

ELSANOR, Alabama — The Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit is investigation a shooting that left one woman dead in the Elsanor Community east of Robertsdale early Sunday morning.

According to a release issued Sunday, the Major Crimes Unit was requested by the Robertsdale Police Department to assist with the investigation.

At approximately 1 a.m. Sunday, the Robertsdale Police Department received a report of shots being fired at a residence on G W Lewis Lane. Based on information gathered from witnesses, several juveniles and young adults were attending a house party when someone began shooting.

Before officers could arrive to the location of the original call, they received additional information that 21-year-old Dominique Marshall had been injured during the incident. They were told that she was parked on the side of the Baldwin Beach Express near U.S. 90.

Medical personnel and Robertsdale police officers responded to the victim’s location and discovered that Marshall suffered a gunshot wound. They were unable to revive her, and Marshall was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Although we have interviewed several individuals, evidence is being collected and leads are being followed; we are asking for the public’s assistance with this investigation,” according to the release. “We know there were others at the scene of this crime and we are asking that they come forward with any information they may have.”
