On Oct. 16, the Baldwin County Drug Task Force assisted patrol units with a narcotics investigation at 14640 Woodhaven Dairy Road East in the Marlow community. While conducting a follow-up from a domestic incident that took place at the residence on Saturday Oct. 15, deputies observed items in plain view inside the residence to be narcotic related. Deputies obtained written and verbal consent from the suspect Miguel Angel Quintero to search the home.

Approximately eight ounces of methamphetamine ice, 2.1 ounces of powder cocaine, 8.2 grams of crack cocaine, scales, vacuum sealer machine, $1,760 cash and packaging material were discovered in the residence. A Ruger mini 14 and a pump shotgun were found inside a vehicle at the residence. Other items found at the residence indicate that the suspect was manufacturing crack cocaine at the residence as well.

Miguel Angel Quintero is in the United States illegally and an immigration hold has been placed on him. He was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Federal charges on the weapons possession are pending. Quintero is being held at the Baldwin County Corrections Center.
