BAY MINETTE, Alabama — A Bay Minette man is facing rape, sodomy and child pornography charges, turning himself into police after video surfaced on social media.

Christopher Deshaun Adams, 27, is in jail in a $50,000 bond after police say he videotaped himself having intercourse with a 15-year-old girl at a local motel and posted it on social media.

According to reports the victim’s mother contacted the Bay Minette Police Department on Dec. 1after finding videos on her daughter’s phone of what appeared to be an older man having intercourse with her daughter. Through investigation, police identified Adams as a suspect in the case and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Adams turned himself in to the Bay Minette Police Department on Dec. 13 after learning of warrants for his arrest. Police are currently investigating whether or not there could have been other victims.

Adams was booked into the Baldwin County Corrections Facility, charged with second degree rape, second degree sodomy and production of pornography with minors. Since all three are felony charges and handled through District Court, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is listed as the arresting party, but the case is being investigated by the Bay Minette Police Department, said Cpl. Robert Gates.

“We are conducting an ongoing investigation,” he said, “and any information that the public could provide would be helpful.”

Anyone with information regarding the case can call the Bay Minette Police Department at 251-580-2559.

According to the Corrections Facility website, Adams has a record of arrests dating back to 2010, when he was charged with disorderly conduct in July and criminal trespass in September of that year.

He was booked on traffic charges in March and November of 2013; disorderly conduct charges in July of 2011 and failure to appear charges in September of 2012. He was last booked on burglary charges in December of 2014.
