Central Baldwin Chamber announces Junior Executive Scholarship recipients

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Four students were recently presented with scholarships as part of the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s Junior Executive Youth Leadership program.

Amy Mitchell was awarded the “Huey Mack Sr. Scholarship” which is donated to the Chamber by the Mack family each year in honor of Huey Mack Sr., one of the founding fathers of the Central Baldwin Chamber. Abbie Hobbs, Elanna Breau and Joshua Clapper were also awarded scholarships through the Junior Executive Program.

Hobbs, daughter of Tim and Emme Hobbs of Elsanor, is attending Coastal Alabama Community College and majoring in graphic design.

Breau, daughter of Romeo and Billie Breau of Rosinton, is attending the University of South Alabama and majoring in civil engineering.

Mitchell, daughter of Leland and Rachel Mitchell of Silverhill, is attending the University of South Alabama and majoring in forestry.

Clapper, son of Chris and Celeste Ray of Daphne, is attending the University of South Alabama and majoring in nursing.

The Junior Executive program is designed to give area high school juniors and seniors a chance to enhance their knowledge and develop leadership skills that will empower and motivate them to become involved and committed to their community.
