David Mighell Pacey Sr., also known as "Grandpappy," native of Point Clear and resident of Robertsdale, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; brother-in-law; and his beloved wife, Helen, with whom he is together again.
He is survived by his brother, Paul (Susan) Pacey II; sister, Susan Harvison; children, Margie (Jeremy) Clifton, David (Brandee) Pacey II, James Pacey, Susan (Chris) Covert; grandchildren, Liam, Reagan, Autumn, Christopher, and one on the way; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
David was born on Jan. 29, 1952 and baptized on March 16, 1952.
He attended the University of Alabama and acquired a master's in computer science from the University of South Alabama.
He was a teacher at Coastal Alabama College. He was vice president of Punta Clara Kitchen Inc., the family business since 1952.
He had recently reacquired a love for creating beautiful paintings, of which his family is immensely proud.
He was laid to rest on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Fairhope Memory Gardens. He will be greatly missed.
