Donations presented from Ladies Night Out event

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The fall installment of Ladies Night Out was its most successful to date, raising $8,500 for local community and school groups. Sponsored by the City of Bay Minette, Ladies Night Out has raised $35,000 for local projects and community organizations since 2017.

The primary beneficiary of the fall event was the Committee on Public Arts, which has been working to add murals, sculptures and other works of art to the community. COPA received $4,500. The Heritage Junior Women’s Club raised $500 by selling concessions at the event and local school and community groups collectively raised $3,500 by selling raffle tickets.

These groups get to retain 100 percent of the proceeds from any raffle tickets sold prior to Ladies Night Out. They include Baldwin County High School Tigerettes and BMMS Tiger Paws, $750; BCHS Tiger Guard, $750; BCHS Beta Chi Sigma, $400; BCHS Softball Team, $300; BCHS Soccer Team, $200; BMMS Football Team, $250; BMMS Cheer, $100; North Baldwin Literacy Council, $75; Chosen Youth Outreach, $375; and North Baldwin Infirmary Auxiliary, $300.

The raffle prizes were donated by North Baldwin Utilities, Standard Furniture, COPA, Outdoor Addiction, Walmart , Robertson, Andreoli & Covington, Pepsi and Furniture Mart.

A big thank you to the event’s sponsors, including North Baldwin Infirmary, Matthew's Landing, Standard Furniture, North Baldwin Utilities, Pepsi, Outdoor Addiction, The First, Alabama Land Title, Premier Women's Health, North Baldwin Family Medicine, Coastal Alabama Community College, United Bank, Kubina, Hayles & Associates, Little Red's Crafting, Gulf Packaging, Matt Franklin/Delta Realty and Premier Family Care.

The next installment of Ladies Night Out will be held in March 2020.
