LOXLEY, Alabama — An inmate reported missing from the Loxley Work Release Center Tuesday was recaptured within hours, according the Alabama Department of Corrections website.
Richard Ryan Gilmore, 46, was missing and unaccounted for at the facility after completion of an institutional bed check at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Gilmore was sentenced May 2, 2017 to 12 years, 6 months on a third-degree robbery charge from Mobile County.
According to the ADOC website, Gilmore was recaptured Wednesday morning. Additional charges could be pending.
