James "Pete or Jim" Hugh Bonds Jr., age 78, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018.
Born to James Bonds Sr. and Lorene (Bennett) Bonds in Morrilton, Arkansas Jan. 8, 1940.
James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy (Cockrell) Bonds; wife, Dorothy (Gregory) Bonds; and brother, Richard Bonds.
Jim "Pete" was a deacon at both Turner Street Baptist and Trinity Baptist Church in Arkansas. Jim "Pete" served in the United States Air Force as a cartographer.
He met and married Katherine Cockrell, Feb. 6, 1959. After many years in retail sales, Jim retired and moved to Harrison.
Jim "Pete" is survived by his sons, Richard G. Bonds and wife Zeynep of Alabama, Russell G. Bonds and wife Jessica of Tennessee; daughter, Robyn L. (Bonds) Jones and husband Roger of Compton, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Matt, Aubrey and Jameson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley, Alabama.
