He was born Sept. 4, 1957 in Englewood, New Jersey and is a 1975 graduation of Pike Liberal Arts School in Troy, Alabama. He attended both Auburn University and Troy State University and worked in hospitality/restaurant management, where his affable smiles, quick wit and charming personality made him the best at customer service.

His most important and honorable task was caring for his parents in their later years.

In March 2016, Jeff suffered a stroke and was hospitalized for six months. He worked through rehabilitation for the next two years, but another devastating stroke on April 13, 2018 would prove to be his final setback.

Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved father, Joseph E. Harbuck Jr. of Daphne; his paternal grandparents, Joseph E. Sr. and Ethel Harbuck of Nyack, New York; and his maternal grandparents, David Escar Sr. and Helen Marley of Brundidge, Alabama.

He is survived by his cherished mother, Elizabeth Harbuck of Daphne; his sisters and their families, Jennifer and David Keller of Lakeland, Florida, Marley Gihson and Patrick Burns of Savannah, Georgia, his nieces, Sarah Keller of Lakeland, Florida, Stephanie and Bryan Cousin, and their children, Alexandria and Jason, of Lakeland, Florida, and nephews Joshua Keller of Ruckersville, Virginia, and William and Alec Burns of Savannah, Georgia. Other surviving relatives include loving aunts, uncles, and cousins from all over the United States.

Services for Jeff will be at St. Francis at the Point Anglican Church, 7280 Scenic Hwy. 98, Point Clear, Alabama, Saturday, May 26, 2018.

The viewing is 10:30 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:30 a.m., Father Gary Blaylock, St. Francis rector, officiating.
