Joe Bouzan retires with City of Foley

Seen here, Mayor John Koniar presents Risk Manager Joe Bouzan with a retirement certificate. Bouzan retired in September after nearly 30 years of employment with the city.

Prior to Bouzan’s retirement, he was able to celebrate a final victory with the Financial Department as it was awarded the Government Finance Officers Association Award for the fifth year in a row. The award represents an achievement for excellence in financials reporting, and was awarded to Foley for its comprehensive financial report. It is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting obtainable.
