Joel "Gordon" Sirmon, age 90, a native and resident of Daphne, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018.

Gordon held the longest membership at Daphne United Methodist Church and was a farmer for 78 years. He was a loving husband, father and granddaddy.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley D. Sirmon of Daphne; three daughters, Vivian (David) Tarwater of Daphne, Charlotte (Ronnie) Norris of Fairhope, Brenda (Joe) Allen of Daphne; two sons, Joel J. (Patti) Sirmon, James A. Sirmon, both of Daphne; close family friend, Charles "Boo" Nelson; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Frangioni of Fort Walton, Florida, Amanda (Mac) Baker of LaBelle, Florida, Carolyn (Bill) Courduff of Colorado Springs, Colorade; brother-in-law, Omer Foley of Valpariso, Florida; other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Daphne United Methodist Church on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at 11 a.m.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service.

Interment will follow in Belforest Community Cemetery.
