Judith Ann "Judy" Nahrgang Smith, 78, passed away on April 11, 2019 in Floresville, Texas, where she had lived the past four years.
A native of Fairhope, Judy was born April 19, 1940, and attended the Organic School, Fairhope High School and Mississippi Southern College.
Among many other honors, she was the 1957 Homecoming Queen at Fairhope High School. Jan Drive in Fairhope was named after her (J.A.N. being her initials).
In 1974, Judy moved to Texas with her family, where she lived in the Dallas and San Antonio areas until her death.
She is survived by her son, Truman "Tim" Smith (and husband, Doug Warner); her daughter, Stephanie Smith (and wife, Michele Demonbren); her siblings, Pat Holifield (Wayne), William "Fritz" Nahrgang and Kurt Nahrgang; her former husband, Truman M. Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert R. Nahrgang and Marjorie Nahrgang Morell; and her older brother, Bobby Nahrgang.
A memorial service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, at the Fairhope Yacht Club.
