Lawrence “Larry” Joseph Schaff

Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Schaff, a lifelong resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed away on Aug. 31, 2018.

He was born in Pensacola, Florida on Jan. 27, 1945. Larry was a loving husband, father and lifetime farmer.

He attended Foley High School and graduated in 1963. He was a tool and die machinist at the Pensacola Navy Base for 27 years. He served in the United States Army in Germany from 1964-1967.

He was an active member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus and The American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth (Mullek) Schaff; and father, George Schaff; brother, Frank Schaff, Elizabeth (Schaff) Kaiser.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra (King) Schaff; children, Devin Schaff (Steve), Shannon Schaff Weed (Jason); and four grandchildren, Grant Schaff, Ellison Schaff, Mallory Weed and Melody Weed.

Visitation will be at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at 9 a.m., with funeral mass following at 10 a.m.
