FOLEY - Local photographer Jack Swindle is displaying his collection, “Reflections of Foley,” at the SummerLife store in Foley. Swindle found inspiration in Downtown Foley for the new series, taking photos at places such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Train Depot and Museum, Holmes Medical Museum, the Hamburg building, and Heritage Park. Swindle states he worked during extremely early morning hours on some shots to capture the city free of pedestrians. He aims to show off the history and natural beauty of the area in his series.
To view the collection, you can stop by local shop SummerLife, which mixes the creativity of local artists with handmade crafts and beauty products for sale. SummerLife held a reception to premiere “Reflections of Foley” on Wed., Sept. 18, giving people a chance to speak with the photographer. The event boasted live music, local artists, and socialization.
Stop by SummerLife Mon-Thur., 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., to view Swindle’s photographs and browse the shop: 217 North McKenzie Street. To learn more, visit https://summerlife.us. To view more of Swindle’s works or to shop, visit his website at https://jswindlephotography.com.
