48th Annual St. Benedict Catholic School German Festival

Posted

Join St. Benedict Catholic School on Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for their 48th Annual German Festival! The event will look a little different this year to comply with social distancing guidelines, but there will still be the infamous homemade German food including sausages, potato salad, pastries, strudels, kiffels, and more.

Raffle tickets will also be available for $100 each with a chance to win $7,000, $2,000, and $1,000 in cash prizes the day of the event.

The festival will be held at St. Bartholomew Parish Hall (across the street from SBCS) 12795 Illinois St, Elberta.

In conjunction with the school’s annual fundraiser, the German Festival, St. Benedict Catholic School will host its 34th Annual Raven Run on April 24 to benefit the SBCS tuition assistance program. This year's registration fee for participants is $30 ($25 for students).

The walk/run will be held virtually this year and participants are encouraged to pick a location where they feel comfortable and safe like a local park, school, neighborhood, or gym. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #SBCSVirtualRavenRun on race day!

St. Benedict wants to give a special thank you to this year’s German Fest Event Sponsors. The Gold Level sponsors generously donated $500 and include Perdido Bay Car Wash, Centennial Bank, Columbia Southern University, Milam & Milam, Lucassen Paint and Body, Hellmich Electric, Saint Michael High School, Perdido Heating & Air, Wolf Bay Restaurant, The Orthopaedic Group, and Ike’s Beach Service.

Silver Level sponsors generously donated $250 and include South Baldwin Medical Center, Anytime Fitness, Coldwell Banker – Coastal Realty Agent Shannon Young, Elberta Co-Op, and Pizza Hut.

If you are unable to attend the run, please consider supporting St. Benedict School’s efforts by becoming an event sponsor. You or your organization/business will receive recognition in this year’s event promotions.

To purchase a raffle ticket, register for the walk/run, or make a donation please contact St. Benedict Catholic school by emailing info@saintbenedict.net or calling 251-986-8143.
