FOLEY - Do you like music, brews, fun and, of course, bacon? Then head to Heritage Park in Foley (located at the intersection of Highway 59 and Highway 98) on Saturday, Aug. 28 for the Bacon & Brew Music Bash, coordinated by Best Florida Fest.

The one-day event kicks off at 10 a.m. and continues until 7 p.m. Get in line to try some delicious bacon menu items from food and snack vendors, plus many more tasty treats. Adults 21 and over can wash it down with some beer or wine.

Of course, no proper festival is complete without some live music. At 10 a.m., the event will kick off with Almost Skynard - Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute. Then at 1 p.m., False Identity will take the stage. Finally, performing from 4 - 7 p.m., don’t miss WANTED: The Bon Jovi Tribute Band.

Little ones will be able to enjoy a huge kids’ zone, while shoppers can explore the various arts and crafts vendors set up throughout the park. If you’re feeling lucky, sign up to participate in numerous free contests taking place throughout the day. Win any contest and walk away with $50 Vendor Bucks. Contests include: Bacon Eating Contest at 12:30 p.m.; Beer Stein Stacking at 2 p.m.; Water Balloon Toss at 3 p.m.; Beer Stein Holding at 4 p.m.; or a second Bacon Eating Contest at 5 p.m. Vendor Bucks are good at any vendor booth, including food and beverage. Those who don’t want to participate are welcome to watch the fun and cheer on their friends.

Entry into the festival costs $5. Those 12 and under enter for free. For more information on this and future festivals, check out BestFloridaFest.com.
