Historic Blakeley State Park and Five Rivers Delta Resource Center invite birding enthusiasts from throughout the Gulf Coast region to come along as we explore one of the richest bird habitats in the nation on a special cruise Oct. 16.

Kathy Hicks, Educator at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center, will help guide us in identification of the numerous species found in the lower Mobile-Tensaw Delta on a morning excursion into this area’s scenic waterways. The cruise departs from the Bartram Landing at Five Rivers at 10 a.m. on Oct. 16.

Enjoy this special cruise from the comfort of the Delta Explorer, our 50-passenger covered pontoon boat. Equipped with bench seating and a restroom, the boat is Coast Guard inspected and piloted by licensed captains. The park will be run other cruises from Five Rivers on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For reservations and a full listing of cruise options, see the park’s events page at www.blakelelypark.com.
