Mobile women killed in head-on collision Sunday on I-10 near Florida state line

WILCOX, Alabama — Two Mobile women died early Sunday morning when they collided head-on near the Florida state line on Interstate 10.

According to a release issued Monday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 21-year-old Amberly Noel Montgomery, driving a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, and 24-year-old Paiton Brianna Goodwin, driving a 2007 Toyota Camry, both of Mobile, were pronounced dead at the scene after colliding head-on in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:52 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 7 near the 60-mile marker, six miles west of the Florida state line, seven miles east of the Wilcox exit in Baldwin County.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash. Further details are not being released at this time.
