Rodeo benefits Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation

FOLEY, Alabama — After being forced to cancel last year’s rodeo because of COVID-19 concerns the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation Professional Rodeo came back strong hosting its 23rd annual event Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 5-7 at the City of Foley Horse Arena.

Rodeo events included bull riding, barrel racing, bareback and saddle bronc riding, calf roping, team roping, steer wrestling and break away roping, featured entertainment and a Kid’s Zone with a bounce house, slide and face painting.

South Baldwin Regional Medical Center was the title sponsor for the event, in cooperation with WKRG, Peer Helpers of Baldwin County and United Way of Baldwin County. Program Champion Sponsors included Alligator Alley, State Farm – Frances Holk-Jones, the City of Foley, Ascend Performance Materials and Sen. Chris Elliott. Gold Specialty Sponsors were Craft Family Foundation, WHEP, Lamar Advertising, Trawick Builders, Bon Secour Fisheries, Baldwin Mutual Insurance, Coca-Cola Bottling Consolidated and Billy’s Seafood. Role Model Sponsors were the George C. Meyer Foundation, State Farm Insurance - Lad Drago, Pilot Catastrophe Services, Scout South Properties, Hope’s Cheesecake and Pirate’s Cove.

The Queens’ Horsemanship Contest was held Thursday, July 29 which included the crowning of the Queens.
