Tigers smack four homers to outscore Pirates 13-10

FAIRHOPE — Trevor Murphy led the Baldwin County High School Tigers to victory over the Fairhope Pirates, driving in six runs on three hits in the Tuesday night match-up March 9. The Tigers would best the Pirates 13-10 on the Pirates home turf.

The Tigers got things started in the first inning on a Justin Brunson homerun solo. The team went on to score five runs in the second inning, led by Murphy, Reece Buck and Chance Bryars.

The Tigers smacked four homeruns in the game. Brunson and Murphy both hit homeruns in the first inning, Buck in the third and Joshua Minchew in the sixth inning. The Tigers had nine hits on the day, including multiple hits by Murphy and Brunson.

Murphy went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits. On the mound, Canyon Odom earned the win for the Tigers. Odom lasted for seven innings, allowing nine hits and 10 runs while striking out four and zero walks.
