BARBARA UPTON CAULEY, 82, a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Barbara was born on January 26, 1938 in Monticello, Kentucky to Alpha Lee Upton and Flora D. Stephens. She was an active member at Daphne United Methodist Church. For many years, Barbara was a commercial potter specializing in producing ceramic lawn ornaments when she was then a resident of Soperton, GA. She enjoyed collecting artwork and doing landscape and portrait painting at which she was very proficient. As a regular member of the Daphne Senior Center, she was a very competitive Scrabble player and had many friends with whom she brought friendship and support to at the Senior Center. When Mrs. Cauley resided in Soperton, she was a foster mother to many children over many years providing love and support at her grand country home and property. Barbara is survived by her son, Jonathan Kevin Cauley of Daphne Alabama, Jonathan’s fiancée Anne Vinculado of Cebu City, Philippines and her step-son, Michael Cauley and his wife Dottie Cauley of Bradenton, Florida. Her sisters, Ethel Upton Jackson of Dover, AR and Charlotte Upton Miller of Huntsville, AL. Charlotte’s children, nephew Monte and her niece Elaina Marshall and husband John, Ethel’s children niece Linda Donnelly, her husband John and her three grandnephews, Tony, Austin and Alex Perry. Ethel’s daughter and Barbara’s niece Nancy Freeman, her husband Kenny and her grandnephews Tanner and Logan. She has two grandchildren, Michael Cauley and Kelly Rivinius. She has four great grandchildren, Ella and Anna Cauley, Aubrey and Isla Rivinius. Her sister Mary’s son is nephew Scott Garner and wife Susan Garner. Mrs. Cauley is pre-deceased by her sister Mary Upton Garner, her brother Jack Allen Upton and her husband John A. Cauley. She has too many friends to recall here and appreciated how welcomed she was in Alabama.

Family will receive friends at the Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at 12:00pm where a Celebration of Life will be held in her memory. The service will be led by her step-son, Pastor Michael Cauley, D.Min.
