Betty Sears Hoffren, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2021.
She was a member of Fairhope Christian Church; she was also a member of Emblem Club, and Beta-Sigma Phi. Betty was president of BPW from 1985 to 1986. She worked at Manders & Lee Realtors and Hoffren’s Automotive, where she was a part-owner.
Mrs. Hoffren was preceded in death by a son, John Smyth; her parents, Clermont and Anna Sears; son-in-law, Choate Budd and a husband, Clifford Durand.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hoffren of Fairhope; daughter, Sherry Budd of Oak Harbor, Washington; Wayne’s children, Donald (Cindy) Hoffren, Sherry Calvert and Sheila (John) Linton, all of Fairhope; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, who knew her as Miss Betty, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Betty’s life was held Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation began at 10 a.m.
