Carralyn Parker Barnette (Ms. Lynne)
April 10, 1944 – June 29, 2020
Carralyn Parker Barnette “Ms. Lynne”, a native of Hinsdale, IL and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the age of 76. Ms. Lynne was a long-standing manager of the local Daphne and Fairhope Waffle House Restaurants. She was always available for a friend in need. While she never personally served in the military, she was a military spouse, daughter, mother, and friend. Ms. Lynne loved going to Mystic hockey games, Auburn Football, all sports, reading and most of all, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Though her travels took her as far away as Germany, her favorite place was at home with her family. Ms. Lynne passed just as she lived, with dignity and grace. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Scott (Ashley) McDonald of Bonaire, GA, Patti (Charlie) Cooper of Loxley, AL and Tami Crockett of Daphne, AL; grandchildren, Christina Renee Fuller, Daniel Scott (Laura) McDonald, Stephanie (Matt) Crockett Walsh, Charles Lee (Jacqueline) Cooper, Jr., James William Crockett, Katherine Alexandra (Stacy) Cooper-Lawton, Allen Michael (Katie) Crockett, Emily Nicole McDonald, Cecilyn Michaela McDonald and Garrett Thomas McDonald; great-grandchildren, Kara Denae Lauderdale, Braylie Jane Fuller, Raelynn Hayden McDonald, Haiden Makenzie Crockett, Kensley RaeAnn Crockett, Hadley Rose McDonald and Landry Scotlynn Walsh; siblings, Robert L. Brannan, Jr., Amy Linda Brannan Merritt, Elizabeth A. Brennan Roberts, Margaret L. Brannon Johnston and Virginia L. Booth Smith; and all the members of her Waffle House Family, you know who you are and that she loved you all. She is pre-deceased by her siblings, Gerald L. Booth and William Brannon.
Due to Covid19, a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate a book or two to your local library in her memory.
