Christine (Chrissy) Hunt passed away on June 2, 2021 in Sun City Center, Fla. after a brief battle with an aggressive and metastasized breast cancer. Her mother, Sandra, was at her bedside. She was born April 18, 1967, in Battle Creek, Mich., the oldest child of James and Sandra Hunt.

Chrissy grew up in Point Clear and graduated from Bayside Academy, Daphne. She then graduated from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn., received a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, Athens, Ga. and a Master’s Degree in Marketing from American University, Washington, D.C.

In 1991 Christine married Woody Cobbs, son of Dr. and Mrs. Woodfin Cobbs of Atlanta, Ga. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1994. In 2001 Christine was married briefly to Kendall Sailler of Detroit, Mich.

Her career covered being Director of the Coal Division for CSX railroad, Director of Marketing for Detroit Edison, General Electric and Global Energy. In 2003 Christine started her own energy marketing company; The Sustainable Cycle.

Christine was predeceased by a brother, Brian James Hunt, her son Kendall Sailler and her father James Hunt. She is survived by her mother Sandra, sisters Kimberly Foster (Allen), Kelly File (Stephen) and James Hunt (Jenny) and four nephews and two nieces.

Christine’s catholic faith was her source of strength and comfort throughout her life.

Her family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to Hanson’s Healthcare Services, Senior Helper’s and especially to Lifepath Hospice all of Sun City Center, Fla. for the care they gave to Christine during her five-month battle with cancer. Lifepath Hospice made it possible for Christine to die at home without pain and in peace cared for by those who loved her.

Christine’s ashes will be interred next to her father’s ashes in Fairfield, Iowa.
