Christmas choral production looking to add voices

Have you ever dreamed of being the American Idol? Do you sing Christmas songs all year round? Can you hold a tune while showering?

If you answered yes to any of these questions or can carry a decent tune while playing air guitar in traffic, the city of Orange Beach Expect Excellence music department needs you to lend your singing voice to their “Visions of Christmas” musical variety show.  The program is comprised of traditional and original Christmas music and songs written by the Expect Excellence music staff.

In order to produce the full and rich sounds of the Christmas season, the “Visions of Christmas” choir needs another 20 voices to join in this special community event. Rehearsals are being held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The performances will be held Nov. 17-18 at 7p.m. at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center.

Anyone interested in auditioning is encouraged to reach out now through Sept. 3. Please contact Jessica Langston, the creative director for city of Orange Beach, to schedule a time. Her email address is jjlangston@orangebeachal.gov.
