Coy Edward Belue, a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 at the age of 92.

Coy was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked for GM&O Railroad/Illinois Central Railroad and retired from there after 40 years. Coy loved fishing, hunting and golfing with his brothers and friends in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Rainey Belue; parents, Oliver Clifton Belue and Veona Belle Hudgens Belue; brothers, Harold Clifton Belue and Dr. Gerald Edward Belue; and sister, Katherine Belue Lott.

Coy is survived by his children, Brenda Belue White, Susan Belue Haley (Carlton) and Tricia Belue Lott (Mitch); grandchildren, Ashley Looney, Monica Hickman, Wesley White, Courtney Corder, Lindsey Easterling, Dane Lott, Jordan Lott and Molli Lott; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Belue (Betty); and sister, Myrtle Belue Aldridge; along with other family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his devoted caregivers and friends, Latreace Handy Stephens and Eleanor Richardson.

Coy was a wonderful father, grandfather. He was excited to rejoin the love of his life, Barbara Jean.

There will be a celebration of life service at Hughes Funeral Home, 2629 Pollard Road, Daphne, Alabama, on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 4 p.m.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 3 p.m.
