After Birmingham-Southern College revealed its closing, Daphne’s United States Sports Academy announced a 50% tuition discount for incoming transfer students.

“Whether you want to study in person with us in Daphne, or if you’d prefer to study online, USSA has a program that can fit your needs and help you complete your degree,” a March 28 release says. “We offer specialized degree programs in sports management, sports coaching, sports exercise science, and sports studies. In addition, we are introducing a business administration degree at the bachelor’s level this fall.”

With intercollegiate sports teams in men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s track and field, volleyball, baseball and softball set to take the fields in 2024-2025, USSA is also positioned to accept transfer student-athletes.

Birmingham-Southern students interested in transferring to USSA and taking advantage of the 50% tuition discount are encouraged to reach Director of Admissions Brenda Hinson at bhinson1@ussa.edu.
