Easter festival welcomes spring

Posted

There was a huge turnout for the annual Easter Festival held Sunday, March 28, at Bicentennial Park in North Baldwin County. This event was sponsored by the Baldwin County Archives & History Department and the Bay Minette Kiwanis Club.

The festival included food, fun games, hayrides, petting zoo, historical tours, and an Easter egg hunt! The Easter Bunny also made an appearance to the delight (and fright) of children.

The Baldwin County Bicentennial Park is a 367 acre area in North Baldwin County, which was designated by the Baldwin County Commission during the County's Bicentennial in 2009. The park is dedicated to preserving the county’s rich cultural heritage and leaving a historical legacy for future generations. Numerous historical buildings from throughout Baldwin County have been relocated to the park and volunteers serve as guides for special events, dressing in period costume and educating guests on days gone by while they tour these locations.
