Eric B. Buchholz, 44, of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2021. Eric was born June 9, 1977, in Fort Rucker, Alabama to Werner K. Buchholz and Renate M. Buchholz. He graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of West Florida.
Eric stood for living life to the fullest and was a kid at heart. He was a loving and caring son, an unselfish brother, and a dedicated father who prioritized his two children over his career. On weekends you could find him playing poker games with his friends or enjoying fantasy football and baseball. He loved to spoil his kids whether it was taking them to Marvel movies, on family adventures, or just enjoying quality time at home. He cherished his loving partner Shelia and together enjoyed cooking and traveling. Eric valued his many friends, especially the Garrett family (Tommy and Irene) and his childhood friend Matt Wolfe.
Eric is survived by his son Jace and daughter Clara, his partner Shelia Berdos, parents Werner and Renate Buchholz, brother Thomas Buchholz (Kim), and niece Elizabeth and nephew Andrew.
A viewing followed by a service was celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Pine Rest Funeral Home, Foley, Alabama. Eric is laid at Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Elberta, Alabama.
