Floyd Curtis Huckaby Jr.

Mr. Floyd Curtis Huckaby Jr., 70; father, friend, and musician of Gulf Shores, AL went home with the Lord on July 6, 2020 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Ruth Chandler and Floyd Curtis Huckaby Sr. on December 6, 1949. He attended Englewood High School, class of 1967. He graduated from Ivy Technical College with a degree in CAD. Mr. Huckaby served in the Army from 1968 – 1974. He was a life long Florida Gator fan. In addition to being an avid drummer for Gulf Shores United Methodist Church, Curtis had a deep love for the beach, and enjoyed other hobbies such as kayaking and playing tennis. Curtis could light up the room with his smile, and had a laugh that was infectious. He truly never met a stranger. Curtis is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Chandler, father, Floyd Curtis Huckaby Sr., sister, Joy H. Seely, and grandson, Caleb Davis. He is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth (Ron) Stalvey, Sherry Huckaby, Ann (David) Huckaby-Thies, his children Curt (Stacy) Davis, Kyle (April) Huckaby, Corey Huckaby, Nathaniel Huckaby, Cara (Shawn Pendergrass) Huckaby, Marlie (Jacob) Hensley, and his grandchildren Kaydence, Emma, Adrianna, Jamison, Brandon, Carter D., Colin, and Carter A., along with many more nieces and nephews.
