Gail Diercks

Gail Diercks, a 23-year resident of Foley, passed away on Aug. 7, 2021, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Edwin Diercks for 64 years; cherished mother of Deborah, Diana, and Donna; dear sister of Jean and Lynn; and loving grandmother of Ryan, Devin, Kelly, and Callie, and great-grandchildren Thatcher and Mira.
Born and raised in Blue Island, Ill., Gail met Ed, the love of her life, during high school. In 1986, they moved to Plant City, Fla., where Gail continued as office manager for Ed’s business until they both retired. In 1998, they moved to Foley, where they could look out on the lake from their patio and play golf together. (She was very proud of her hole-in-one!)
We will remember her as the strongest woman we know, always supportive and there for each one of us. Her love of travel was with her always- from the family station wagon and motorhome adventures across the US, on business trips to Japan and England, and on numerous cruises with Ed, family, and friends to Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Tahiti.
A member of St. Andrew by the Sea, Gulf Shores, her faith in God and her church community were an integral part of her life. May she rest in peace.
A private service will be held for the immediate family. To share a memory, go to her tribute wall at https://www.casonfuneralservice.com/obituaries/Gail-Diercks-2/#!/Obituary, and consider donations to the American Cancer Society.
