Mr. George Thomas Stabler, age 78 of Fairhope, AL passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 7th, 1942 in Monroe County, AL and lived the last 49 years in Fairhope. He was preceded in death by his parents James Stanley Stabler and Myrtle Mae McKenzie Stabler; brother’s Alfred Stabler and John Stabler; and his son Matt Stabler. Mr. Stabler is survived by his wife of almost 60 years Judy Stabler; son Stan Stabler (Marcia) of Daphne; daughter Roxanne White (David) of Fairhope; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Hattie Turberville of Franklin, AL; Mildred Wiggins and Annie Cobb both of Monroeville, AL. Mr. Stabler was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope where he served in many capacities to include deacon. He was a current member at Barnwell Baptist Church. A celebration of Mr. Stabler’s life will be held in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort. Due to the cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Barnwell Baptist Church.
