The Gulf Coast Athletic Club donated $4,140 to the Gulf Shores High School athletic program. The money will be used for athletic sleds.

Coach Mark Hudspeth said, “This equipment will be instrumental to the strength and conditioning of our athletes which is needed to compete at the highest level. We have a vision, a plan, and high expectations for our program. We appreciate and certainly need support from individuals and groups like GCAC to best position us to reach our goals.”

Located in Gulf Shores, the Gulf Coast Athletic Club (GCAC) is an organization comprised of college football enthusiasts. Membership consists of 100+ men and women representing every major conference and most SEC schools. Although GCAC is a social club, it supports local athletic programs by providing annual scholarships for student scholar athletes and by funding various tangible athletic needs. Since its inception in 1999, GCAC has provided more than $250,000 in benefits to the local school system athletic programs along with providing scholarships to 40 deserving recipients.

GCAC meets every other Monday during the fall. Meetings consist of socializing, dinner and a distinguished guest speaker. For more information, visit www.gcathleticclub.com
