Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Tourism hosts 2021 Winter Lecture Series

Posted

The beaches are a little cold this time of year but there are plenty of activities to keep winter visitors busy. The Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Tourism Bureau will host its annual Winter Lecture Series throughout January and February.

The lecture series provides visitors the opportunity to learn more about the area’s history, wildlife, military history and culture. A few of the lectures this year include the History of Flora-Bama, surf fishing and contemporary weaving.

Due to the need to socially distance, The Port at The Wharf will be the only venue for this year’s series. Additional COVID-19 protocols in place include required masks, socially distanced seating, hand sanitizer stations and cleaning following each lecture.

To adhere to social distance seating limitations, reservations are required but are free. Visit www.gulfshores.com/lectures/ to see a full list of lecture topics and dates and to register. All lectures begin at 10:30 a.m. If you need assistance or have questions call (251) 968-7511.
