I love a homecoming parade

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — It was a magical time in Robertsdale Thursday evening when the annual Robertsdale High School Homecoming Parade rolled down the street.

Each class at RHS had a float that followed the Disney theme and “Arabian Nights” was the theme for this year’s Homecoming.

The parade was part of the festivities of homecoming week, which included daily dress-up days, sponsored by the school’s Student Government Association.

The week kicked off with “Monster’s University Monday, followed by “Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum Tuesday,” or Twin Tuesday, and “Ohana” Wednesday. Thursday was also “Sleeping Beauty Thursday,” and Friday was Spirit of Disney Day.

Prizes were awarded for the best float, while prizes were also awarded during the week for the best classroom door.

The Homecoming Court was presented during the pep rally with the crowning of Homecoming King and Homecoming Queen was crowned during halftime as the Golden Bears took on 6A Region 1 foe B.C. Rain.

The annual Homecoming Dance was held Saturday at the Baldwin County Coliseum.
