Janice Lea Westmoreland Lipscomb, 77, of Magnolia Springs, Alabama, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Family memorial service held at Vernant Park Baptist Church on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Janice was born in Coffeyville, Kansas, attended East Texas Baptist University, and graduated from Wichita State University in Elementary Education. She taught in Wichita and Robertsdale, Alabama. Janice always had a heart for missions, the persecuted church, and was a devout prayer warrior. She played the organ and piano for church services, taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School to children and teenagers. Over the years, she sang in the choir, led WMU, GA’s, and children’s choir. A mother of six, she taught them all to love the Lord. Janice is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Rev. N.J. and Wanda Westmoreland, a brother, and a sister. She is survived by her husband Gerald Lipscomb; children Geoffrey, Michelle, Tiffany, Shannon, Gregory, and Angela; their spouses; 19 grandchildren; 3 sisters; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
