Jessie Mae Mabon

Jessie Mae Mabon was called home to Jesus and granted her angel wings on Aug. 5, 2021 at the sweet age of 95. She was born to Savana Mabon who preceded her in death. Raised in Chance, Ala., she often helped her mother on the farm and enjoyed playing basketball.

In addition to being a loving mother, Ms. Jessie was quite fond of fishing, cooking and gardening. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God and was a devoted member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley. She proudly served her community and opened her heart to anyone who crossed her path.

Ms. Jessie joins her brothers Eugene Mabon and Abraham Mabon, sister Lillie Mae Smith in Heaven. She is predeceased by sons Ralph Mabon, Saymon Mabon and George Johnson; grandsons Sam Mabon and Charles Mabon and sister-in-law Pecola Mabon.

She is survived by her daughters Frances Cambridge, Norma Jean Bernard, Charleen Mabon and Mona Lisa Mabon, son James Mabon, great-niece Ida Mabon, godchild Janay “Mary” Cambridge, 16 grandchildren, 30 great-great grandchildren, two great-great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 at St Margaret of Scotland. Flowers may be sent to 601 W. Laurel Avenue, Foley, AL 36535.
