Laurel Kirby Green Northcutt went home to be with her Lord and Savior Mon., Mar. 11, 2024. Kirby was born in Washington Parish, Louisiana on Dec. 20, 1965. A resident of Enon, Louisiana, Kirby attended First Baptist Church Franklinton. A graduate of the 1983 Class of Foley High School in Foley, Alabama, Kirby went on to Auburn University to earn a degree in Psychology. After college, Kirby lived in Nashville, Tennessee where she met and married Ben Northcutt, the love of her life. Kirby and Ben were the proud parents of two amazing sons, Green and Bankston. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.

Kirby was known for her free spirit and love of the outdoors and music. Perhaps her greatest

passion was reading. Kirby’s easy nature and love of children made her a favorite, not just with her boys, but with her nieces and nephews as well. She was always up for leading them in creative endeavors and outdoor adventures.

She is survived by her sons William Green Northcutt and Bankston Lyle Northcutt of Enon, Louisiana; parents Cecile (Garrett) and Jeff Green of Enon, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law Molly and Reggie Morris of Magnolia Springs, Alabama, their sons Jack Morris of Atlanta, Georgia and Garrett Morris of Nashville, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law Lawrence and Memory Green of Madisonville, Louisiana, their son Julian Green of Madisonville, Louisiana, and their daughter and son-in-law Hannah and Christian McBain of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law David and Cristina Green, their children David Jr., Alexander, and Andrea of Magnolia Springs, Alabama; In-laws Phil Northcutt of Nashville, Tennessee, Anne (Northcutt) Hosfield of Brentwood, Tennessee, her daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley and Justyn Hunter and their son Charlie of Nashville, Tennessee, Cathleen and Chris Fritts and their sons Franklin and Harris of Cumming, Georgia; Larry Northcutt and his wife, Kim, of Crossville, Tennessee, and his son Richard Northcutt, of Piscataway, Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin George Northcutt and his parents, Isabel (Easley) and Dixon Lyle Northcutt of Brentwood, Tennessee; grandparents Margaret (Carter) and Lawrence Green of Enon, Louisiana; grandparents Mildred (Bankston) and Dannie P. Garrett of Franklinton, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Franklinton (903 Cleveland Street, Franklinton, LA) on Sat., Mar. 23rd from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Chris Wheeler and Rev. Joey Miller officiating.  Graveside services will follow at Knight Memorial Gardens in Enon, Louisiana.  At the conclusion of services for Kirby, friends and relatives are invited for a fellowship meal and remembrances at Enon Baptist Church.

Pallbearers are Lawrence Green, David Green, Reggie Morris, Julian Green, Jack Morris, and Garrett Morris. Honorary pallbearers are Phil Northcutt, Larry Northcutt, Christian McBain, David Green Jr., and Alexander Green.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Washington Parish Library- Enon Branch and mailed to the library at: 14140 Hwy 16, Franklinton, LA 70438.
