LuLu’s Gulf Shores announced Monday, Aug.2, they would temporarily close due to COVID-19 affecting their staff. On Monday, the shortage of healthy team members prevented them from opening.

In an email letter to patrons, Lucy Buffet said, “Folks, this is serious business and for the health and safety of my LuLu’s family and our beloved customers, we are closing our Gulf Shores restaurant today, Aug. 2. We are taking a pause to evaluate the best way to navigate this next phase of COVID.”

The restaurant is hoping to reopen Monday, Aug. 9, but they encourage patrons to check Facebook for updates.

“This is the saddest day for me in the history of LuLu’s. My primary concern is for you and your well-being during these crazy times. We appreciate your patience and your support,” Buffet said.
