Marie Thompson Rucker, 90, a resident of Spanish Fort passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Julia Thompson, beloved husband Golden Rucker, and a brother Ray Thompson. She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Mitchell) Shiver of Spanish Fort; two brothers: Harold Thompson of Spanish Fort and Jerry (Cookie) Thompson of Doyline, LA; sister Geraldine Waller of Mobile; 3 grandchildren: Derek (Connie) Boothe of Fairhope, Jennifer Neal and Nathan (Michelle) Shiver of Bay Minette; 4 great- grandchildren: Amber-Lynn (Chris) LeBatard and Halle Shiver of Daphne, Julia Anne Boothe of Fairhope, and Savanna Neal of Bay Minette; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Marie had a green thumb and could root and grow all plants and flowers. She sewed beautifully and was known as a mighty fine cook. Services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview in Daphne, Alabama on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in Wilson Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
