Mary Bell ("Bell") Hamm passed away on Sunday, Dec. 8 of natural causes. She had just celebrated her 92nd birthday with her family.
Bell was born in Andalusia, Alabama in 1927. She married Quitman Hamm in 1947, and they were married for 61 years.
After Quitman's passing in 2007, she took the reins of the company she and Quitman built. Bell was instrumental in guiding the company to the successful business it has become today.
The Hamm companies provide land, homes and property in lower Alabama through its sales and rental divisions and offers property management services to clients across the country.
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Hamm, Brenda Lord and Linda Odom; and her grandchildren, Summer Dodd, Brooke Hutchinson, Christy Plato, Ashley Trumbull, Meredith Glattli, Julie Cowan, Joshua Odom, James Odom and Quitman Hamm II. She is also survived by multiple family and great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Robertsdale Church of Christ, with a visitation from 9 until 10 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Baldwin Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale, Alabama.
