New Venue Bringing Entertainment to the Gulf Coast

The Alabama Gulf Coast has a new source of entertainment on the rise at a newly opened venue in Foley. The Alabama Gulf Coast Music Hall was opened earlier this year, located on the Foley Beach Express at the Highway 98 Intersection.

The venue was opened by the three former owners of the popular Gulf Shores restaurant, Ribs and Reds Restaurant, Helen, Michael, and Don Stafford. After selling their restaurant they decided to use the funds to open the venue to bring something new and exciting to the area.

“We are hoping to keep live entertainment and live music alive. We are hoping to keep great music from the past in front of the public so they can enjoy and understand where music evolved from within the past few decades,” said Don Stafford, one of the venue owners.

The venue will be hosting a variety of events like, dinner shows, comedy shows, and even private events like weddings and banquets. The venue is climate controlled with dynamic acoustics and has spacious comfortable seating. There is also a concession stand within the venue providing “the best Southern Style B-B-Q south of the Mason-Dixon Line.”

Since the opening in January there has been many fun events already held such as, “Branson On the Road Show”, “Johnny Counterfit Show”, “Jonathon Estes Jukebox Memories Show, “Mel Tillis, Jr. Road Show”, “The Favorites Band Show” featuring Norman Joe Chunn, “Dick Hardwick Comedy Show”, “Jackie Clair Line-Dance Party,” according to Stafford.

The venue hopes to grow in the coming year by booking more shows and private events for the community to enjoy.

“The process of our being discovered will take time, but we feel that with a little help from the media, our friends, and our satisfied customers, this venue can become an asset to our tourist area,” said Stafford. “We will continue to bring fun and entertainment to the venue.”

Some events to look forward to in the coming months are the Dinner and Dance on Nov. 28, and Dancing and Great Music every Thurs., Fri., and Sat. starting at 5 p.m.
