FOLEY – Head to OWA on Saturday, Sept. 4 for the fourth annual OWA Labor Day Car Show followed by a concert, kid’s activities and fireworks to close out the night. The live music returns as the celebration continues Sunday at the OWA Island Amphitheater as well as kid’s activities throughout Downtown.

Once again, OWA’s partnering with the Foley First Baptist Church Missions Program to donate all registration proceeds from the car show held during Saturday’s festivities.

“The OWA Labor Day Car Show is always a signature event for us, and we look forward to once again supporting our local community as the summer comes to an end,” said Kristin Hellmich, OWA’s Director of Marketing/PR. “Best of all we’re able to set up and enjoy these great events at OWA in a spacious, outdoor setting.”

While the event is free to enjoy as a spectator, guests are welcome to register their rides up through Saturday morning for a chance to win! Registration will run from 6:30 - 9 a.m. The show opens to the public and judging begins at 9 a.m. Dozens of trophies will be awarded for a variety of categories to include: Pastor’s Choice, Best of Show, Best Mopar, Antique, Rat Rod, and every decade from 1929 to now.

Live music will entertain guests from 4:30 - 10 p.m. on the OWA Island Stage, Saturday, with free performances from Miles Flatt Band and The Chee-Weez. Patriotic fireworks will be visible throughout the property to close out the night on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 8:45 p.m. Sunday’s concerts include music from Jenna McClelland and Southern Approach starting at 6 p.m. Free kids’ activities including a patriotic t-shirt and scavenger hunt will be available while supplies last between noon and 6 p.m. both days.

OWA’s Labor Day Car Show, Fireworks, Downtown OWA activities and music are all free for the public to enjoy. More information, plus a schedule of events, can be found at VisitOWA.com.
